Career Exploration PathfinderNot sure where to start your research? Here are some suggestions!
WHERE DO I START?
Websites, databases and books all offer different perspectives and resources. Use all three to get the best information. Websites are usually available to all and free, but the quality can vary substantially. Databases offer access to magazines, journals and newspapers NOT available on the web. Results can be sorted and searched by date, subject, and reading level. Books contain more detailed, in-depth information, and are available in the library. **Spelling Counts!**
Check your spelling or try an alternate spelling if you aren't getting results!
To access ebooks:
username:[email protected] default password: leopards (Or try your Lepapps password) Still can't access ebooks? See Mrs. Joseph or Mrs. Keister! DATABASES Isearch searches for books in our library AND for encyclopedia articles, newspapers and magazine articles available from INFOhio. It's one stop searching with citation help!! Try these different types of searches as you search INFOhio and the library catalog.
WEBSITES Remember to check the URL. Know where your information is coming from! .org = used by non-profit organizations .edu = used by colleges and universities .gov = used by official US government entities .com = used by for profit companies |
